I have the same error after upgrading from Jira 4.2 to 4.3:
java.lang.AbstractMethodError:
org.jasig.cas.client.integration.atlassian.JiraCasAuthenticator.getUser(Ljava/lang/String;)Ljava/security/Principal;
Cas client version: 3.1.10

It looks like maybe Atlassian changed their APIs? Can you open a bug
report and we'll look into it to see if that's the case?
Thanks

Has anyone attempted (or been successful in) getting Atlassian JIRA
v4.3 running with the CAS Client (Java) 3.2?
I'm getting an error from the JiraAuthenticator.getUser method.
