Scott,

Wouldn't imply that there were 12k CAS logins to the application? Right now
only 50 classes are using Canvas, so perhaps a max of 1500 users?

Also in the applications access log it indicates a 400 error which is a
malformed request. Why or how would CAS be sending malformed requests. I don't
see malformed sign out requests on my CASified applications.

I just know that someone is going to call a meeting and I'll need to be able to
answer all the questions.

And just so I fully understand, when the ticket registry is cleared this
results in sign out requests being sent to all applications. I was under the
(mistaken) impression that only calls to cas/logout would generate sign out
requests.

Cheers,

Bryan

The ticket registry probably got cleared out at 4am.

We have a third party CASified application called Canvas (like Blackboard).
Anyway, the admin for the application calls me and asks why my CAS server made
over 12k requests to his server in an 8 minute period at about 4am. His access
log showed this:

155.97.yyy.xxx - - [29/Jun/2011:09:01:28 -0600] "POST /login
HTTP/1.1" 400
9079 "-" "Java/1.6.0_24" "-"

Where 155..97.yyy.xxx is the ip of my CAS server.

So I looked in my CAS server log and found 12k occurrences of this entry:

Sending logout request for: https://learn-uu.uen.org/login

Any ideas what would cause this behavior?
