Hi everyone, I'm Joaquin, I have been working with Greg Taylor on porting the SNAP2 firmware for the LWA stations in UNM to the ZCU102 board, some of you might have heard of this project, I received a lot of help from Jack and Wei and we are very close to make it work.
The reason I'm sending this message is because we can't figure out how to make the four SFP+ cages working as one single 40GbE link. I was wondering if someone else has done this before and if they can give me some advice on what to do. We are using the Q-4SPC01 breakout cable from FS that splits the QSFP+ connector into four SFP+ connectors, and we are also using the Arista 7060CX switch, we already tried two configurations on the switch, one for a single forced 40 GbE link and another configuration as a 4×10 GbE breakout with LACP (Port-Channel), the last configuration looks like is not going to work because it needs auto negotiation and this is not provided on the forty_gbe yellowblock. Neither of those configurations are recognizing the ZCU102 link on the switch, it recognizes the cable transceivers on low level but not the link. I have already tried a single 10 GbE over one SFP+ cage using a Xilinx example and it works great. I would appreciate it a lot if someone else that has already use a similar setup can maybe help me out with some tips. Thank you!
