You know, this would take me about 2 days of work. And no guarantee
that it would be any better. I ran into very similar problems trying
to build rhino.commons just a few days after I had setup my system six
months ago or so. I still am under the impression that vista x64 could
have something to do with it (and I would not be able to change this).

Is there a way to legally download a (readonly) vm of a regular xp to
try that out?
