If you do have the yard do the work, make sure you are there to supervise. There have been too many stories about things like cutting antenna and anchor light leads because the workers were too impatient, dull or otherwise to look for a connector.
Being an anarchist at heart, I'd make my own evaluation of the gin pole and perhaps do some 2:00 am work on my mast. Perhaps the condemnation was "economically induced"?
Free advice, and probably worth every cent.

Does anyone else have anything to add to what Bob did? Any pictures of the A-frame in action? My marina wants $90 to raise or lower the mast. Id certainly like to avoid this fee if I can.
