Thanks for my soft deck problem input, I really appreciate it. My next task
will be removing a tired atomic 4 inboard and installing an outboard, I
realize there was some recent talk of this same topic so I appologise in
advance if I missed some already posted info. Is it possible to install a
transom mounted outboard bracket that raises up and down or will I have to
cut the transom apart? Thanks in advance, Mike Andrews C-27 runaground Sue

Hi Mike,
Its cored with Plywood. Not -positive-, but I think its either 3/8ths or
1/2 inch. I would just drill some teeny tiny little holes and inject the
epoxy if I were you.
This is a good site to go to to buy the epoxy.

Hello, just re-purchased my old 1975 C-27 it has acquired a rather large
soft area in the triangle of the bow, should I remove the top skin and
replace with new marine plywood or inject with west system 2-part epoxy?
Also does anyone know what these decks were originally cored with and how
thick they are from top to bottom layer? Thanks in advance. Mike Andrews
