All,

Every year, right after the first race with lightning,we have a run on lightning protection questions, and every year there is a run on lightning protection schemes, and horror stories.  And every year I get all bamfoozled, and do nothing, and cower.

I have been told by experts in the field that it's too late for me to get unbamfoozled, that the condition is permanent and permanently accelerating.  Ooch!

At least this year we get a pome.

for which I'm grateful.

Time for my old poem.

En-lightning-ed   !!!

Be it  here ,  or be it there,

That damn'ed lightning 's everywhere.

Be it amps,  or be it Volts

Some people think " you'll get the jolts".

To Bond the boat?  To keep  afloat,

Hang  wires  or chains on hull to  coat.

Oh  what to do?   Oh  what to do ?

The answers come from quite a few.

" I've seen it spark , I've seen it crash"

Stories horrible and stories trash.

Shall I duck and run and cover ?

Should I wait for clouds to hover ?

Will I sink ?   Will I be dead?

Will sparks fly if I use the Head ?

Is it Minus ?   is it Plus ?

Will " Crispy Critters"  be made of us ?

One thing is sure , One thing is certain.

Testosterone and Adrenaline is spurtin'

 Sailor's lightning talk ?   It's always a  test ,

"YOU  don't know nothing , ' cause I know best ! "

This applies I think.

It all makes interesting reading. I’m afraid of lightning and have sailed through my share of storms.
