You can remove the bowl of the fuel filter by loosening the bolt that sticks out the bottom of the bowl, and then dropping the bowl.   It takes a small wrench and nimble fingers.   Bob An iconic owner of a 1978 Catalina 27 with a Petter Diesel "Thumper."
