Hi Jim, The ice box fills but not the sink? Does the pump stop the backflow? Jamie
From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]: [EMAIL PROTECTED]: RE: catalina27-talk: ice box drain?Date: Fri, 18 May 2007 18:06:04 -0500 Jamie, On my ’79 traditional layout, there is a hose that connects with the galley sink drain and out the through hull in the compartment under the stove. My setup has 2 ball valves, because while I can leave the galley sink open, my icebox will fill with water if I sail with that valve open. Is there supposed to be a drain hose attached to the bottom of the ice box or does it just drip from the outlet? Mine currently has no hose and I don't see how one could be attached and lead to the bilge. OK, remember the question is about how it sails...not how it runs aground and plows into the mud. Nor is it about how the rudder has a good chance of being as long if not longer than the keel and there's a good chance it will bend or better yet break off in a grounding. However, with that said...If I go to a bigger boat here in Chesapeake Bay I will probably get a Wing Keel lest I be running aground often...as in frequently (a reference to Pirates of Penzance). I know many here that would not give up the wing keel because it allows them into more creeks.DT**************************************See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
