My local Kubota dealer catalogs parts by tractor number, not engine number. I
have not verified this, but tractor #B5100 should have the same basic engine
as the M-18. If that does not pan out, try Featherman Enterprises
(http://www.feathermanenterprises.com/index.html
I couldn't find a water pump on their site, but they do have a lot of
Universal parts and are reasonably priced. If you can get a part # off the
pump, that would probably help.

Folks, last week the freshwater (not raw water) pump on my 22 year old
Universal Diesel engine quit. More accurately, it seized up (belt started
squealing) while the engine was running. This seems unusual, as I've never had
a auto water pump seize up like that. Has anyone else seen this happen?

My real question, though, is where to get replacements. Torrenson and others
seem to want more than $300 for a complete pump assembly. Seems a lot to pay,
for what is essentially a water pump on a Kubota tractor engine. Years ago on
the lists, there was a page floating around with cross references between the
Universal Diesel parts and the Kubota part numbers. Anyone seen this reference
lately?
