Re a C27 as a yacht ...

I donated a afternoon sail and on-board dinner on my boat for a silent
auction at the church. Advertised it as "Spend a day on your very own
yacht." So someone comes up to me and says, "You own a yacht?" all
big-eyed. I replied, "It's only a 'yacht' if you want to get someone to
pay a bunch of money. Otherwise, it's just a boat."

RE: catalina27-talk: Without a big yacht, you ain't squat

Earlier last year there was an article in the Washington Post about the
ultra wealthy in London. The article quoted one of the people talking
about
owning a yacht and said, "The world is divided into 2 classes; The HAVES
and
the HAVE Yachts!" I figure my $6K Catalina pushes me into the "Have
Yachts"
side.
