1. Raft along side a buddy with a 35 to 40 footer and use one of his
halyards
2. On the Catalina web site there is a good example of a "gin pole"
type of arrangement that can be easily constructed out of common lumber.
Other than that it's not as big of a task as it would appear, just have
plenty of strong help, think it thru and go slow.

As far as the wiring, if yours come out the side of the mast near
deck
level, if so you can use the old wire to pull a new one. If not
it's not
that hard to drop the mast and go thru it to check for other
problems as
well.
