Hi all...I have been placing ballast (150 lbs of water tanks) under the forward bunk. Has anyone had experience and if so how much ballast did you place, and what kind? We regularly sail with four in the cockpit which is dragging down the stern without sending everyone forward, an inconvenient and not comfortable arrangement for a standard C-27. If I can find lead pigs I would like to place about 800 lbs or more there instead of the water containers.
