Get yourself a bottle of Pussers Rum it is the oficial rum of the Royal Navy if
you aer a spiced or rum and coke fan pot in some vanilla beans about 8-10
should do more if you want, this is alot better than those cheap rums.Rum and
Lime jiuce is the original Grog now they add 2 parts water and 1 part cane
sugar.
Grog is essentially a diluted rum mixture, with two parts water and one part
Pusser's Rum. The word "grog" was derived from the nickname for Admiral Vernon
who was nicknamed "Old Grogram" (grog, rum - get it?!) based on the waterproof
grogram cloak he wore on ships. He first ordered this rum dilution process that
yielded grog to be carried out in 1740. This command was called "Vernon's
Orders" and it also encouraged the addition of sugar and limes to the grog
mixture - which is the present day Pusser's Rum recipe for grog.
the use of lime juce is to keep from getting Scurvy and if you havent seen
scurvy you don't want to glad it's rare these days>
other rum drinks
Golden grizzly
Fill collins glass with OJ top with 1 -1 1/2 oz Meyers dark rum
The Painkiller®
is a blend of Pusser's Rum with 4 parts pineapple juice, 1 part cream of
coconut and 1 part orange juice served over the rocks with a generous amount of
fresh nutmeg on top. You have a choice of numbers 2, 3 or 4, which designate
the amount of Pusser's Rum! Cheers
Oh and you may want to try Appleton Estate this is another fine rum as is Mount
Gay. I did say that I,m a bartender didn't I?

Mount Gay and Roses Lime - definitely a pirate requirement! Proportions are up
to you. Crew choices range from 90:10 rum:roses to 50:50 rum:roses. Anything
less than 50% rum definitely labels you as a "non-pirate" on Piratizer and
earns you threatening stares from the rest of the crew. ;-) Cheers!! Bob
