sled, but has
a traditional (e.g., stayed) rig. I'm talking about the unstayed carbon
masted catboats
that Wylie designed for the smaller boats....well, if you call the
cat-ketch rigged
65 a smaller boat.
The original rub was: would the unstayed carbo mast stand up
offshore...but Bruce
Schwab, having taken Ocean Planet around the world (twice?) put an end
to that
discussion. That mast isn't going anywhere unless you scrape it on the
bottom...
If I remember correctly "Rage" was purpose-built to take line honors for
the Transpac.

It's called "RAGE" .. and it's a Wylie designed boat..Built here in
Portland by Schooner Creek.
A look at this link will show several Wylie/Schooner Creek
construction.. Including " Ocean Planet" the Open 60 that Bruce
Schwab sailed.
