I was doing regatta mark set duties this weekend. With time running short and the 22 Boston Whaler not wanting to run and no other options, Gratis was called in off the "bench".
There are few things more miserable than motoring a sailboat in chop with no mast or lifelines for that matter. After setting the race course, I realized I had taken the ground tackle off and had to motor around for the duration. BTW: 4 inflatable race marks will completely fill a Catalina 27 cabin...what a day! The link below is the New Orleans YC message board with photographic evidence.
