Thanks Tim, Mark, Ray, Chris, et.al.

Did I mention that the PHRF people were meeting with the US Sailing people this
past Friday? - no one home but a wife did return my call.

The conundrum is on the Addendum to the 2008 Certificate Renewal Document:

"My boat has a roller furled genoa deployed while racing sold as a standard
feature of the production design. YES _ NO _"

"My boat has a roller furled genoa deployed while racing that is not sold as
a standard feature or option of the production design YES_ NO_"
LATER IT READS:

"Credit for a roller furled genoa of +3 sec/ nm is
awarded........................storm jib. This credit is not awarded to
production boats that have roller furled genoas as a standard design feature."

An aside, I met the local PHRF people at the ALL SAIL Boat Show in Chicago this
past January. They are good people doing a very tough job.

When I get the straight stuff, I'll let you know.
Thanks again for your responses - (Great website Phil)

LMPHRF wants to know if a CDI roller furler was a standard design feature on
the original production boat.I think hanked on head sails were standard but
don't know if the CDI furler was a factory option or an after market
addition.Catalina factory has ONE technician who knows and "he gets hundreds of
calls per day", according to the receptionist, and "answers as quickly as he
can get to them". Does anyone have an answer? Thanks Art HaanSojournC27TR
