Judy
I hope you chime onto this list once in awhile and help us out with your
advise. Good luck on sale.
Hard to believe that five years have gone by since you had your son.

Subject: catalina27-talk: Judy B''s Bijou is for sale (SF Bay, CA)

  Hi Listoids,

I've got to sell Bijou.. I can't take care of a 5 year old son, an 80 year
old mom, and Bijou. I'm going to sell her and sail OPB's once a month (other
people's boats).

She's a tall rig, traditional interior, inboard (with outboard option).

I haven't come up with a price yet, but I've spent over $40K in upgrades
since 2002. Please refer any potential buyers to me.

All new rigging with all lines lead aft:

new Selden boom with internal lines

      new Selden piston boomkicker

new winches (Harken 40's and 16's),

new Harken traveller with gross and fine tune

      new blocks,

new mast with internal halyards (fully rebuilt)

  new Booth rudder,

newer sails in truly excellent condition (Pineapple main, North cruising
laminate135%, North Cruising laminate 95%, North Asymm),

  Harken roller-furler (10? years old)

newish standing rigging (replaced in 2001)

  new Indigo 3-blade propeller,

rebuilt Atomic engine with a new head and boiled block (2002)

  new stainless steel exhaust riser,

new exhaust hose (with older waterlift muffler)

  new heavy duty dodger

  new sail covers,

  new stanchions,

  new seacocks,

  new bulkhead,

  new bowsprit for Asymm

new keel bolts, wood core removed per factory specs in 2001

epoxy bottom sealant job in 2001

new Nexus instruments with central CPU and fluxgate compass (knotmeter, depth
meter, wind speed and direction display - can display true and apparent
windspeed) and direction ) (need to be wired)

  newish cushions inside

....and too much to even remember - all recommended upgrades and more have
been done.

Her deck is solid, her bottom is clean and painted, her rig is in great
shape.... traditional interior.... portapotty...

Bijou has been upgraded to handle San Francisco Bay with aplomb. She's a real
lady with beautiful manners.....

There's lots more info on Bijou at

  Fair winds,

  Judy B
