Type 'A' is Dexron which is used in GM trannies. Type 'F' also known as Mercon is used in Fords. I used Dexron II in mine. Type 'A' was the good old generic stuff used in 40 and 50's for those wonderful Dynaflow transmissions.

My manual says to only use "Type A" transmission fluid. I'm aware of Type F, but I've never heard of Type A. What do you use? James _____ Express yourself wherever you are.
