Hi Dave,
She's a great singer. The national anthem is challenging for many singers due to the change in key at the lyric "At the rockets red glare" . Many famous singers drop the key down at that point  because they their voice is not broad enough to reach it, but she carried it off expertly.

Unfortunately American Idol does not promote fine singing voices. 

She's got a future.

Dave - great voice.  Way the song should be song all the time.  Really hard even wihout
