Jim,

Apparently International Marine Instrument went out of business in the late 1980's. Continue to cast around on the internet to see if you can find anyone with parts, experience, etc. I'm sure there must be some out there who have had experience...it has only been twenty years. The question I would have is it really worth while to try to struggle with an outdated piece of equipment. There is so much available, currently, that does so much, and probably better...

This is probably a wasted post, but does anyone have any experience with the IMI Combi electronics? I believe it is International Marine. My thirty year old boat has a big display unit on the starboard bulkhead, and pretty good sized panel in the cabin, and a transducer in the hull. They all look as old as the boat which obviously makes them questionable. I haven't messed with them to see if they have power to them or would power up other than flipping switches which do nothing. I haven't been able to find any trace of the company on line. I doubt they are worth repairing if they are repairable but to remove the display unit would leave a hole that is much bigger than anything I would replace it with. Without putting a tape measure on it I would guess the thing is about 5"h X 12" w. Does anyone still work on them on would the cost to repair be a lot higher than something new?

Thanks!
