Richard Shaw......I fired up my A4 one time and no oil pressure (or very little 
indication).  It was the oil pressure sending unit.  Replaced it and all's 
well.  Also, my oil pressure was running about 10 psi low, so I adjusted the 
screw for this.  It is (looking at the flywheel) on the right side of the 
engine, kinda on the low side.  Your manual will indicate location.          I 
seriously doubt that it is the bearings.
