depth is good, but man, you gotta have a working compass....I cant even 
imagine not
having a working comp on board. Unless you are totally okay with just 
aimlessly
sailing around w/o a destination (nothing wrong with that!) then not 
having a working
compass is like driving in a parking garage blindfolded....you'll find a 
way out
eventually, but without the blindfold you drive right up to the PAY HERE 
booth.

God forbid you get caught out in a new and sudden fog.
