Well, I've almost got Gratis ( '85 C 27) ready to step the rig.

If you remember, I had substantial gunnel damage to both the stb. and port
sides from Katrina.

Rather than try to "mold" those complex curves by hand to re-build the gunnels,
I cut the gunnels off another 27 I salvaged and "glued" them in place. This
process worked fairly well with the exception of the fact that the replacement
gunnels were from an older boat and the deck has a different shape in the
toerail details.

Due to the difference in the shape and the "beefed upped" glass from the
repair, I can't mount the aft section (aft of the toerail "scupper") of the
genoa track as far outboard as is "normal". This doesn't bother me, as the only
thing sheeted this far aft will be a kite.

Now, the real question: I want to install an inboard track. I saw on this board
that some people install track on the coaming to "inboard" sheet a genoa. Would
that be for a 155 or a 170? I thinking of running the inboard track from the
shrouds to the coaming, just outboard of the cabin top. I'm hoping this will be
enough to sheet a 155 with a low clew.

Also, I have a bow sprit from a tall rig boat and I'm thinking of installing it
for use with an "A-kite". I do a lot of single handing and (after more than a
few rum drinks) have "promised" to do Wed nites next year single handed.

Thoughts, comments, suggestions?
