Friends, It's my 77 th Birthday today NO , That info isn't a part of my ongoing Halloween Story.. But Here's a little Oddity I thought you, my friends would get a kick out of it. It's a bit of a stretch to make it Sailing Content.. but it ..IS.. Celestial Info.. So IT'S "close" to Topic... :-)
Why I'll live to be 100 ! 100 years old? Yep... One Hundred Years... Exactly...to the day! The reason IS...... I was born in La Center WA (early name was LaCentre. French for "The Center" ) .Longitude West 122 degrees On.Friday.. October 30, 1931 around 11:00 AM A Full moon had occurred the night before... One hundred years from that day, there'll be a FULL MOON... And a total ECLIPSE of the Moon will happen! There has NEVER been a Full ECLIPSE of the moon. on any October 30 ... since before my birth.... AND..There won't be ANY... Until OCTOBER 30, 2031 .... Thursday at around 11:00 PM! Exactly One Hundred Years to the day.. from my birth. And at the opposing time of the day part of my birth! What's more.. The PEAK brightness and maximum duration will happen along that 122 degree Meridian in the Northern Hemisphere that longitude runs through the West coast of the U.S. and Canada. Through ..La Center Washington! . A LUNAR eclipse . On my 100th birthday! Strange but TRUE.
