I recommend GFO gore-tex packing. It looks like it's easier to use than what CatalinaDirect is selling, it's absolutely dripless, it's cheaper, and it's nearly indestructable. Here's a link to their site: http://www.emarineinc.com/products/gfopacking/packing.html. I've been using it for 5-6 years in my C-27 and I love it, and it lasts a very long time. Just bought Stars & Stripes this summer. Previously very little experience with an IB diesel like the M18 Universal. My old boat was a CAL 22. Somehow at the end of the season my prop shaft/coupling lost its key. While I'm down there working on it, I thought it might be wise to repack the stuffing box. Saw this kit on Catalina Direct. Any thoughts you guys have on the topic would be appreciated. Ray Yager "Stars & Stripes" #6354 6612 S Routt St Littleton, CO 80127 303.978.0267 (home) 303.868.6400 (cell) [EMAIL PROTECTED]
