David, definitely think about whether you want to change your stanchions to 10*
in or out, 5* in or out, or straight up. On my '85, I moved the two nearest
the shrouds to out (I think 5*) in Nov. 01. The cost for the four (2 each side)
was $217.46 from Catalina Direct. I can now walk around the shrouds and stay
inside the lifelines!

David, I have 4 of the "double" stanchions. 2 are "straight" and 2 are 10
degrees in.
Mine are cheap. Then you only have to buy 2 of the list price one's from Cat
direct.
Let me know. and I'll send you some pic's

I may have a few of "double" stanchions left over (I'm going single) in my
"very well organized" garage.
I'll be starting the "dig" this afternoon getting my own boat stuff
together and will let you know.

Speaking of life lines.....I would like to through bolt my
stanchions and add a second lower life line to my 1974's original equipment.

I haven't seen a replacement stanchion, so has anyone some
experience with this project and how did you go about it?

            Thanks,

Any one have an idea of the upper life line length for a "late" model
C-27
(mines an 85).
I have a couple of sets in the garage and I'm hoping to be able to re-use
one of them (budget constraints and all).
