Hi, This morning at Stewart Park I heard several BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS flying high overhead. Just now (10:22PM) I heard a GREATER YELLOWLEGS flying over the Ithaca commons. Perhaps many of the remaining shorebirds at Montezuma will be clearing out with this front.
After terrorizing the now rather large AMERICAN COOT flock at Stewart Park, an adult BALD EAGLE eventually managed to catch one and fly off with it. I was lucky enough to capture this event with pictures if anyone is interested: http://www.flickr.com/photos/seabamirum/sets/72157627860761859/show/ Good birding -- Tim Lenz t...@cornell.edu Web Applications Developer Cornell Lab of Ornithology -- Cayugabirds-L List Info: http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsWELCOME http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsRULES http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsSubscribeConfigurationLeave.htm ARCHIVES: 1) http://www.mail-archive.com/cayugabirds-l@cornell.edu/maillist.html 2) http://www.surfbirds.com/birdingmail/Group/Cayugabirds 3) http://birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/CAYU.html Please submit your observations to eBird: http://ebird.org/content/ebird/ --
