Much of the Tompkins County Airport grass lands on the north side of the
airport area was mowed this week (7/19/12), but the little meadow along Mohawk
Rd. between Snyder Rd. and Etna Rd. is unmowed. It is bordered by shrubby
bushes and some trees on two sides.
Besides the birds reported here (& to Ebird), I saw a Coyote with an injured
front leg, but it was getting around OK.

I was also in the area on Snyder Rd. near Warren and Cherry Rds. on Wednesday,
7/18/12, before most of the mowing was done; then I saw a few E. MEADOWLARKS,
including one carrying mouthfulls of food into a long grass area, where I
assumed there might be a nest. Unfortunately, by today (7/20) that part was all
mowed.
