After a few tries this past week, Livia and I finally found the GRASSHOPPER
SPARROW others have reported (although perhaps not posted here?) at the
Ithaca Airport recently. Today it was singing a field south of Snyder Road
maybe 100m east of the first gate/pulloff area south of the Snyder-Cherry
intersection. (In other words, here: 42.497289,-76.461092). It sang for a
few minutes, then dropped down into the grass and disappeared.

The ORCHARD ORIOLE is still singing lustily from the parking lot areas at
the Lab of Ornithology.
