Saw my FOY BROWN THRASHER singing heartily. Also my FOY HERMIT THRUSH.
I also had a treat watching a BROWN CREEPER, both doing its thing (scooting up tree trunks) and singing. Lots of PURPLE FINCHES, lots of RUBY-CROWNED KINGLETS, and surprised and was surprised by (not sure who was more surprised!) by a RUFFED GROUSE. Only one YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER. Hoping I'm going to get some warblers before I leave for England (permanently) and will then have to make do with the drab little warblers over there.

What a gorgeous morning!
