A flock of at least 100 American Coots has been hanging out at the southwest corner of Cayuga Lake just north of Hog Hole for about a week. It's been a long time since I've seen such a large number of Coots here. Another unusual observation, a standup paddle boarder was heading north up the lake yesterday.
