The 103rd Syracuse Christmas Bird Count

The World Cup of Syracuse birding (a.k.a., the Syracuse CBC) occurred
yesterday, 17 December 2022.  This year marks our city’s 103rd CBC!!  In
total we encountered 79 species – 5 more than our 30-year average of 74
species. Highlights included 2 Black Vultures (a first in our count’s
history), 2 Chipping Sparrows, and 1 Gray Catbird.
