Yesterday when we driving up Rt 89, there was a VERY long raft of waterfowl, about 1/2 a mile long. Didn't stop to look but guessing the usual red heads and mixed species of past years.
Today at our feeder, 1 lone red wing, an all black bird with no red at all and a sort of goldish (maybe just faded?) mantle along the top of the bird.
