Hello,

I have just submitted a proposal for the Google Summer of Code to update
the Drupal Creative Commons module.[0] Feedback would be greatly
appreciated!

I'm looking for feedback on two things in particular.

I'm especially concerned about feedback for the second phase of my
proposal. I had imagined that I could first update the module to support
the latest version of Drupal, and then begin implementing liblicense
support. But, as I've looked into liblicense, it doesn't appear that
there are PHP bindings available yet. Is it worth keeping this in the
proposal, or, given the current absence of PHP bindings, is that another
GSoC project in and of itself?

Second, on the Creative Commons module page, there is a note: "This
module will soon be updated for Drupal 6 for Denver Open Media
<http://www.denveropenmedia.org/> as part of a generous grant from the
Knight News Challenge
<http://www.newschallenge.org/tools_for_public_access_tv>." I am about
to email Denver Open Media for feedback as well, but I am hoping that my
development efforts can work in conjuction with theirs, as there is a
lot of development to be done (more features for Drupal 6, soon support
for Drupal 7, the liblicense support idea, etc...). I hope that effort
can be combined, rather than duplicated, if we're working on the same
module. Does this make sense? Or is that a serious concern?

Thanks,
Blaise Alleyne
