Hey Scott, thanks for your reply.

I just changed the side of the DCE (swap cable end and
configured clock rate at the same speed on the other
side of the connection). It worked!

My question now is: WHY? 

Using same cable, same interfaces, same clock rate but
having the "Master" router on one side does not work
however, if the "Master" side is swapped (change the
DCE end to the neighbor router) it works!

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated :)
