Most things you can do on any of the routers... You'll have some features
not available based on the IOS release (IPv6 routing protocols is what
stands out in my mind the most).

but even with 10Mb interfaces, you can still do things like trunking on
those routers.

If you run into something you can't do, part of your studying routine should
be to identify those differences and come up with something interesting to
replace it!

If you view this all as a challenge, you'll be that much more prepared for
the lab and real life! In the lab exam though, you'll have ISR routers, so
from our perspective, we plan for the "not being surprised" option of
studying!

Subject: [OSL | CCIE_RS] 2811 or 2640 + 2610's

Hi,

I just purchased the IPexpert CCIE R/S book, all the labs are based on Cisco
2811,

would I be able to use 3640 + 2610 routers instead? also my 3640 have 10/100
and labs use FE's any advice?

Regards
AE
