You'd also need portfast. On a "regular" link coming up without portfast enabled, you also need to have the blocking timer in there (20 seconds) which makes a TOTAL link start delay of 12 seconds impossible. Other than blocking, yes, listening + learning gives the solution you have there. So it sounds like you already understand the technology. So the point of the question is? Whose lab is it?
