I'd follow the Doc CD examples...

norm-burst = cir / 8 (to convert to bytes) * 1.5
max-burst = cir / 8 (to convert to bytes) * 2

Subject: [OSL | CCIE_RS] Adjusting the burst size

Hi folks,
I was just wondering how we could proceed to choose the best "burst values"
in the lab test (e.g. in the CAR settings and its rate-limit)? I've got some
general ideas based upon my work experience but how is it going to be
calculated and fine-granulated during the test?

Thank you,

Cheers,
