Very true. What with full time work and family commitments you certainly need
lots of 'bandwidth' in terms of elapsed time to cover the necessary ground
properly.

At least that's my experience.

  Greetings Sundar,

If you want to achieve your CCIE, you still quite a journey ahead of you.

Many people study 6 months to a year for just their written then study their
lab skills for another year or more.

The material you have studied and learned for your CCNA is just a small
fraction of what is required for the CCIE.

Consider studying for your CCNP and passing those exams first. The CCNP will
better prepare you for the CCIE written and a lot of the material covered in
the CCNP is covered in the CCIE written exam as well. Also, while you are
studying for your CCIE, you will be a CCNA and CCNP which may better position
you in your current job.

Anyway, whatever you decide, good luck with your studies.
