As others have pointed out, it's a big step from CCNA to CCIE.... The CCNP program gives you exposure to many new things and let's you add incremental steps to your knowledge. Even that leaves a large jump up to CCIE, but at least some of the foundations are already there! Best of luck in your preparation!
