LAB27 OSPF on the Catalyst makes me crazy, I dont get the point.... Requirements: -Both Catalyst Switches (in reality we have 4) shold have an interface created an be part of Area15 -The Catalyst loopback interfaces should be placed in Area 115 The PG has almost no explanation and the final configs are somehow weird to me because the solution violates general requirements. I do not understand why on the Switches they create Vlan interface 40. Only to attach area 1 to the Catalyst and let the Virtual Links from area 15 go over it? If so, why not create a vlan interface 567 and attach area 0 to the Catalyst? Should that not be allowed? In this case we would not need the virtual links at all, isnt it? Can anyone explain the configuration for these two tasks? Would be very thankful... Regards Roger
