Hey Terry, Don't worry, the volume 1 proctor guide is coming to a computer near you, and is coming soon. I don't have an exact date for you, but rest assured it is coming.
I came into my CCIE journey as a student just like all of you guys. I studied the exam cert guide 3rd edition for about 6 weeks really hard to pass my written on the first attempt. After that, I got the blended learning solution. At the same time, I was fortunate enough to have acquired most of what I needed to build my home lab. I took the topology used at PG and made my own home lab to practice on. I had my home lab setup just like here at IPexpert. I watched through all the VoDs first, taking notes and letting everything really sink in. Additionally, I would play the audio lectures on my iPod whenever I could. After going through the entire video bootcamp, I started on the labs. I plowed through Volume 1 , Volume 2, and Volume 3 in order. The DocCD and this forum were my best friends. Towards the end of my volume 3 labs, I booked an IPexpert bootcamp to solidify my knowledge and get the opinions and training from a master that had gone before me. Through all the hard work, dedication, help, and a 100% IPexpert solution I was actually fortunate enough to pass my lab exam on my first try. So there you have it...living proof that the material works. My entire journey was about 10 months from written to CCIE #. Keep in mind, I dedicated every ounce of energy and free time I had to it, so don't be discouraged if it has taken you longer. I've been using another vendor for most of my preparation (about 10 months) with little satisfaction. You know you run into the "square peg round hole" scenario. I am really hoping that IPexpert is a better fit. I have to say I am extremely impressed with the material I've seen thus far. I love the layout and everything. I haven't been able to find a proctor guide for the new version 11 workbook 1, but I will ask about that tomorrow. Is any one willing to share any methods of how they approached devouring this elephant, or any best practices. Thanks in advance, Terry Terry Vinson wrote: > Hello everyone.
