hmmmmmmmmm....any way you can use a tighter summary than a /16?  Is it
necessary to summarize the ENTIRE /16?  Perhaps you could come up with a
tighter summary address that would only cover the LAN(s).  Or, if you are only
talking about a single LAN here that is smaller than /16 (larger mask like a
/24 or something) why do summarization at all?

Guys,
Need bit of help here with summarization.

I have my loopback and LAN subnet all part of this /16.I will be using /16
subnet for a remote site and advertising a summary address back to my head end.
My problem here is if  my LAN interface goes down, I will still have my summary
sent to head end as my loopback remains up .what happens with my summarization?

Is there a way to influence my summary route when the LAN interface goes down
and still send  the loop back address.

Can you please suggest this when running OSPF and EIGRP?

When running OSPF all my remote WAN routers will be ABR.

Thanks
Ramu
