I believe it's X.x.x.x to y.y.y.y meaning that it's range of addresses. Like
Deny range 226 to 228 would be how it says.

Without looking at that task, I believe this is correct but like everything
else I'd have to lab it, because I am new to all this :) but I remember doing
this recently, and that threw me for a loop.

Since the requirement is to deny any multicast group whose first octet is 226,
227, 228
I would have it set up as follows:

#range 226.0.0.0  2.255.255.255

The solution in the DSG is:

#range 226.0.0.0  228.255.255.255

Can someone help clarify?

Thanks

Bauke
