Joe, yes both interfaces (fas0/1.76 as well) are in an up state but
I'm unable to ping and/or establish an OSPF adjacency. If I remove the
voice vlan from the switch the .56 segment re-establishes connectivity.

Fa0/0 ??? If you leave the command "switchport voice vlan 76" off
does it function properly?
