I ran into the issue on 6-17-10 using the proctor labs. Attached is a copy of the router configurations for all of the devices on my pod at the time. I checked and I have frame-relay end-to-end keepalive mode bidirectional configured on both R2 and R4. Please let me know if you see anything else in my configs. I checked my printed copy of the DSG, downloaded the latest electronic copy of the DSG, and watched the volume 1 walkthrough video and they are all using different commands. I downloaded the electronic copy of the vol1 lab 6 - task 6.16 DSG today and it has the commands listed as below. R2 _ _ _ _ int s0/1/0.1 frame-relay class FREEK int s0/0/0 frame-relay interface-dlci 402 class FREEK R4 _ _ _ _ (Nothing listed here) I watched the vol1 lab 6 - task 6.16 configuration video and here are the commands Joe uses there. R2 _ _ _ _ int s0/1/0.1 frame-relay class FREEK R4 _ _ _ _ int s0/0/0 frame-relay interface-dlci 402 class FREEK I used the commands listed above from my printed copy of the DSG and I am showing EEK up on both sides. R4 looks fine but I have some failures on R2. I also tried this with the other command sets and I still have the same issue. I am not sure why the final configurations do not show this since it is covered in the previous tasks in the lab? My questions are: Why am I getting failures on R2? Which command set should I use printed DSG, electronic DSG or video? Thank you for the help! PS: I searched the forums and found this email where Joe responds to another user that is having issues with this task. Joe Astorino Sat, 30 Jan 2010 23:07:07 -0800 Yes. Good catch. It is correct in the final configurations FYI. If you do NOT apply these per DLCI what will happen is you will have FR-EEK Failed errors on your console because it will try to send out the EEK on every DLCI. On Sun, Jan 31, 2010 at 1:48 AM, L.
