Can an etherswitch in let's say a Cisco 2821 router (with latest IOS)
provide all the command available on Cisco 3550 or Cisco 3560 switch?

Thanks

ok...understood that 3500 XL is of no use...what is the difference between
3550 & 3560 then...I believe both are L3 switches

Thanks

Partially.

3500XL is L2 only and you wont be able to do any L3 stuff like you can
with a 35[56]0.
