Hi Tyson / Hammer,

Thanks for your support and great response.
Tyson thanks for that great link, will read the gns3 part shortly. Plan to
start
studying for my Lab after Christmas as I want to get done with the written exam
before that. Will surely require your assistance as I'm basically new to GNS3.

Got a few quick novice questions....

What modules have you populated the 7200 and 3640 ?
Is the 7200 series to heavy for GNS3 to emulate ?
What hardware platform (OS,mem, ext interfaces) are you running GNS3 on (laptop
i7 processor or Desktop)? Plan to get a laptop with an i7 processor.
How do you configure external ethernet interfaces on GNS3 for connecting to
your
3560 layer 3 devices?
Does GNS3 have a traffic generator for testing QoS?
Also plan to use to proctor labs later.

Hammer - keen to know the details on your home lab. Would like to have a chat
with you. Let me know (yahoo id- lovettd1)

Cheers,

Lovett

Lovett,
I’m using GNS3 with a trunk to my 3560s. For my routers, I’m
using 7200s. I found them to be better suited for matching up against the
physical topology provided in the workbooks. My BBs are 3600s. Let me know if
you have any additional questions.

Hi Tyson / Marko,

Would like to know what cisco model and ios version is the best to use for
gns3.
Will be using the ipexpert workbooks. Got a few more questions on GNS3 but for
now I just want to know the required IOS images.

Regards,

Lovett D'Souza
