Hi There Gents I have explored with kron script but please be aware especially in 2811 and 3845. Please make sure that your IOS is higher than 12.4(20) if not, at the end of the year your routers will crash causing it to be physical reloaded. I have experienced that at the turn of this year. It is bug CSCsm20994. It only occurs at the turn of the year. So guess what I was doing New Years morning at 12h15am!!! There is a thread on the support forum too concerning this.
I thought this would help. ________________________________ From: "Di Bias, Steve" <[email protected]> To: Michael Smith <[email protected]>; "[email protected]" <[email protected]> Cc: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> Sent: Tue, May 3, 2011 12:01:08 PM Subject: Re: [OSL | CCIE_RS] OT: Config backups using kron? Michael, great idea and it works like a champ! The maximum command isn't needed however since the copies are remote DS-Dist-1(config-archive)#maximum ? <1-14> maximum number of backup copies DS-Dist-1(config-archive)#maximum 14 Cannot set maximum when backing up to network path Thanks! Hello Steve, Have you tried the archive feature yet? I am pretty sure a 3560 can do archive. Here is a sample config: config t ! archive path tftp://x.x.x.x/TEST.txt time period (whatever time you want to save it) maximum (amount of backup copies) write memory ! end Let me know if this works for you and please let me know if I'm wrong in this instance. > From: [email protected] > To: [email protected] > Date: Tue, 3 May 2011 11:19:36 -0400 > CC: [email protected] > Subject: Re: [OSL | CCIE_RS] OT: Config backups using kron? > > Hey Matt, > > It's just a test TFTP server running tftpd32 on Wi2k3 R2.
